EnviroX at MENA Climate Week – Riyadh, KSA 2023 Bringing Community Narratives, Creative Tools, and Inclusive Action to the Climate Agenda

EnviroX proudly contributed to MENA Climate Week hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, delivering a two-part program centered on creative education, systems change, and community empowerment.

Our participation reflected our commitment to making climate knowledge accessible, emotional, and transformative — especially for women, children, and frontline communities.

Event 1: Coastal Zones – The Hidden Fear

Facts and Women-Led Approaches to Closing the Emissions Gap

Coastal zones are home to 2.4 billion people and face catastrophic risk from climate change. Yet women — who make up over 50% of these populations in some regions — remain underrepresented in adaptation planning.

EnviroX designed an interactive TED-style session that combined:

• Surprising IPCC data (e.g. predicted sea level rise by 2042 under BAU scenarios)
• A Kahoot-based design thinking activity
• An inclusive systems map of women, government, NGOs, private sector, and philanthropy

Outcomes:

• Audience votes on priority risks in coastal zones
• Real-time Q&A to challenge status-quo thinking
• Emergence of innovative, gender-inclusive solutions
• Adoption of the approach as a MENACW community initiative

Event 2: Education Game – Land & Ocean Adventure

An original educational board game designed by EnviroX for children and youth, Land & Ocean Adventure is a 30-minute interactive game promoting teamwork, climate literacy, and fun.

Game Elements:

• Colorful land-sea map board
• Question cards on climate, water, waste, and biodiversity
• Dice, movement, scoring, and shared reflection

Outcomes:

• Engaged 12 children in 3 dynamic rounds
• Built teamwork and critical thinking skills
• Encouraged early-age understanding of the Paris Agreement
• Created a joyful space for learning and environmental responsibility

at MENA Climate Week EnviroX Center demonstrates that climate action is not only about policy it's also about hearts, minds, Inclusivity and imagination. By combining storytelling, gamification, and community-rooted narratives, we are cultivating a generation of resilient leaders and inclusive solutions.

This project reflects our mission to transform climate awareness into agency, through tools that speak to the intellect, emotions, and lived experiences of those most affected.
